Uruguay squad for Ireland friendly named

Uruguay boss ├ôscar Tab├írez has named a twenty-five man squad for his side’s upcoming friendly internationals against Estonia and the Republic of Ireland.

The 2010 World Cup semi-finalists will play Estonia in Tallinn on March 25th, and then come to the Aviva Stadium to take on the Irish on May 29th. Genoa defender Diego Polenta is the only uncapped player in a squad which includes many World Cup veterans, and marquee names such as Diego Forlan and new Liverpool signing Luis Suarez.

Giovanni Trapattoni will name his Ireland squad to face Macedonia and Uruguay on Monday.

Midfielders: Alvaro Pereira (FC Porto), Diego Perez (Bologna), Sebastian Eguren (Sporting Gijon), Gaston Ramirez (Bologna/), Egidio Arevalo Rios (Botafogo), Alvaro Gonzalez (Lazio), Cristian Rodriguez (FC Porto), Walter Gargano (Napol)
