Robbie Keane could make LA Galaxy debut this weekend
LA Galaxy’s newest signing, Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane could make his MLS debut on Saturday after receiving his P-1 Visa.
Keane is now permitted to work in the United States, and has been officially added to the Los Angeles’ club’s roster, taking shirt number 14 (His preferred 10 is already taken by LA Galaxy and USA captain Landon Donovan).
According to a press release from the MLS club “The all-time leading goal scorer in the history of the Ireland National Team, Keane will fly to Los Angeles on Thursday before training with the Galaxy for the first time on Friday morning at 10 a.m. Following Friday’s training session, Keane, who will wear the No. 14 shirt, will be available to the media for the first time as a Galaxy player in a press conference inside the stadium.”
LA Galaxy versus San Jose Earthquakes takes place at 19.30 Pacific Time, where Keane is probably most likely to feature as a substitute after his long flight over tomorrow and only a short period training with his new team.
