Republic of Ireland under-21 international Jack Grealish has joined Notts County from Aston Villa on loan until January.

The 18-year-old winger has yet to make a first team appearance for Aston Villa, but is highly regarded at club and international level, and made the first team squad for Villa when they took on Chelsea last year. He played in some of his club’s pre-season friendlies, hitting the target against Walsall, but will join Notts County for proper first team experience.

Fellow Ireland under-21 international and Aston Villa clubmate Samir Carruthers is currently on loan at Milton Keynes Dons, and Grealish could be set to make his debut for the Magpies on Saturday against MK Dons. Grealish will also team up with left-back Enda Stevens, who is on loan at County from Aston Villa.
