Hamilton Academical have confirmed the loan signing of Republic of Ireland Under-19 international Paul George from Celtic.

The 19-year-old wide player has agreed to join until the end of the season in order to gain first team experience. The Killough-born winger played for Northern Ireland U16 and U17 sides before switching to the Republic of Ireland in 2011.

George has played just one game for the Bhoys, coming on as a substitute in Celtic’s 2-0 League Cup win over Ross County, but saw his progress halted when he suffered a broken leg in 2012.
